Grizzly Bear - Friend [EP]

A great little EP, with songs by Grizzly Bear covered by other great bands like Band Of Horses and CSS. Here

Grizzly Bear - Yellow House

In the past three months I have gotten into Grizzly Bear, and cannot await their arrival to Cincy for the Music Now Festival. Yellow House is my favorite album of their catalogue. "Little Brother" is a pretty fucking amazing track. So become or re-new your fanship to the most kind bear out there. Feel the knife, here.

Sometimes its really nice to hear or see what a great artist did in their early beginnings. This holds true for Feist, whose first release "Monarch" is now available to all of you. Retrace her artistic steps here.

She & Him - Volume 1

Yea found this online today, and just got done listening to it. Very good, some have said that if it wasn't the brain child of a musical god (M. Ward) and a talented actress (Zooey Deschanel) that it wouldn't get play. Maybe, but i think it would. This album is a great return to like late 50's, early 60's female groups. I could see this album being played in the cliche soda shops, or drive thru's. Zooey's voice is so antique and timeless at the same time. It includes such a great version of "You Really Got A Hold On Me", another favorite is "Take It Back" -Dusty if you read this I believe you and your dad will enjoy this-. Click Here for a trip back, even if like me you weren't alive then.

Handsome Furs - Plague Park

I had got this album a few months ago, and just got into it recently. I really enjoy the fact that the album uses drum tracks instead of the traditional drums, this album is very minimalist. My favorite song, Hearts Of Iron. Plague Park

AA Bondy - American Hearts

Don't know much about this guy or band other than he has some relationship to the Felice brothers, who in their own right are pretty damn good. This is a pretty haunting album, the wraspy voice and hazy production are perfect for the songs. A great album to listen to when your staying at home on a saturday night. Indulge and Get it here

I just found out he is gonna be in columbus on the 17th, Ill be there.

Buffalo '66 Soundtrack

Buffalo '66 in my opinion is a great movie, and it sucks that Vincent Gallo hasnt done much since. The last thing I saw him in was a odd vodka ad. Anyway the music in the movie are also pretty good too, and includes a great Yes song called "heart of the sunrise". Also Vincent Gallo has many of his own compositions too. Get it here

The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin

Im sure everybody who is anybody knows about this great record. The Lips have to be one of the greatest live bands out in the world. It was like nothing I have or will ever see before or since. Find the spark here.

Steely Dan - Citizen Box Set

Here is a 4 album box set, complete with all my favorite Steely Dan tracks. Not only do Steely Dan make some of the most original music around, because the band is only comprised of two members, they always employ the best studio musicians to play on the record and at the shows. Some of the many fav. tracks are, Black Cow, Reelin' In The Years, Kid Charlemagne, and Deacon Blues.

Disc 1

Disc 2

Disc 3

Disc 4

Most Anticipated Albums of 2008.

2007 was a great year for music. At least in my perspective, and now we all eagerly await new releases from our favorite bands, and also bank on the vast albums from new and exciting artists. Here are some in particular I cant wait to get my hands on and share with you.

My Morning Jacket - They say it is very gospel inspired, when I first heard that I cringed a little. But then i quickly remembered this is Jim "God Damn" James, and whatever he and Two Tone Tommy and the rest of the gang do will always be welcomed in my ears.

Midlake - The band I cant stop talking about. I still cant believe how often I listen to The Trials Of Van Occupanther, I was stunned to hear that it was recorded in the singers living room.

Stephen Malkmus - Although I already have heard and shared this album, I still havent gotten through it, Malkmus' stuff usually takes me a few listens if not more to totally comprehend the designed anarchy of his songs.

She & Him - Have some of the demos up on here. Like all these artists anything M Ward touches I will buy.

The Black Keys - This will be the first record they have done in a proper studio, with producer Danger Mouse.

Ben Kweller - Sometimes his lyrics are a little to silly and childish, I still catch myself getting really into his stuff.

Broken Social Scene - Havent heard much, but I dont really need to I am already excited

Ryan Adams - I havent heard anything, but just 1 album a year from him is a minimum.

Bob Dylan - Have heard rumors, hope their true.

If there are any you think I have left out, be sure to write your list in the comments.
