The Concert For Bangladesh

A truly great and historical concert, bringing together musicians likr George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Ravi Shankar, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, and some guy named Bob Dylan. Also historic for the vision of both Harrison and Ravi to stage a benefit concert for a country (which still is among the worlds poorest, and still facing political and ethnic strife). Please I encourage you to buy the album and the dvd, as 100% of the profit goes to UNICEF to help Bangladesh. On another note this was Bob Dylans first live performance since his motorcycle wreck, and as the album shows his first words couldnt have been more appropriate, as Dylan croones "Oh Where Have You Been My Blue Eyed Son?" from the great song A Hard Rains Gonna Fall. Other notable songs are Here Comes The Sun, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, My Sweet Lord, and Mr. Tambourine Man. So check it out.
