Was directed by Noah Baumbach, who fits in this theme because he was a writer for The Life Aquatic movie. Love these soundtracks and love your blog! The Squid and the Whale was a fantastic film, and the music definitely added to the atmosphere. I went out and bought a bunch of Bert Jansch albums after seeing it.
